Role Overview:
Nova Industrial Arts is seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Accountant to serve as the right hand to the CFO. This role will oversee daily accounting operations, manage team performance, drive financial planning, and provide timely, accurate reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, confident in managing people and processes, and well-versed in QuickBooks and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial operations
- Act as the right hand to the CFO, providing support in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting
- Develop and maintain detailed financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
- Perform monthly and quarterly closings, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Ensure accuracy of accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and job costing processes
- Create and maintain complex financial models and tools using Microsoft Excel
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data within QuickBooks Desktop and/or Online
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment on budgets, expenses, and financial goals
- Assist with compliance, audits, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with AIA billing or willingness to learn is highly preferred
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a construction or project-based environment
- Proven experience in team management or supervisory accounting roles
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Online
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA a plus
- Knowledge of AIA billing practices
- Familiarity with job costing and construction industry accounting workflows
- Experience working with CFOs or executive-level leadership on strategic finance initiatives

- Client Relationship : You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any client-related matters independently.
- Payments : All payments for your services will be handled by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
- Vacation Leaves and Holidays : While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client’s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.
Salary : $1300-$1500/month
