Your Role as a Security Analyst The Security Analyst / Administrator plays a key operational role in strengthening WMQ’s cybersecurity providing hands-on technical expertise across security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management — helping to bridge the gap between infrastructure operations and security governance. The role directly supports Infrastructure and Cloud Security goals, contributes to the broader BSG Strategy, and promotes a culture of end-user security awareness and shared responsibility. Key responsibilities of this position include: Managing and maintaining SIEM and security monitoring tools (e.g., Rapid 7, CrowdStrike, NetSkope). Proactively detecting and investigating security alerts and incidents as well as conducting root cause analysis. Performing regular vulnerability assessments to track and report remediation progress to ensure vulnerabilities are identified, addressed, and closed in a timely manner. Administering and monitoring endpoint, identity, and cloud security controls (CrowdStrike, Mimecast, Azure Security, etc.). Maintaining accurate and up-to-date security documentation, including system configurations, response records, and operational procedures. Participate in the on-call roster and support critical incident response activities when required. What We’re Looking For Completion of a tertiary qualification in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science. Exceptional attention to detail, especially when working with data, configurations, and system logic. Relevant technical experience working within cyber security operations. Essential Requirements Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy) Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
