Section Waiter – Postino Osteria (Summer Hill, NSW)

Postino Osteria is an Italian restaurant and wine bar located in Summer Hill, NSW. The venue has approximately 120 seats and operates a mix of à la carte service, group bookings, and private events.

We are currently seeking experienced Section Waiters to join our front-of-house team. Casual, part-time, and full-time positions may be available depending on experience and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a designated service section during a la carte, group, and event service
Provide professional and efficient table service to guests
Present menu items clearly and provide recommendations where required
Liaise with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow
Accurately take orders, process bills, and handle payments
Manage dietary requirements and service requests in line with venue standards
Prepare, maintain, and reset sections before, during, and after service
Comply with RSA requirements, hygiene standards, and company procedures

Essential Requirements:

Full Australian working rights
Current NSW RSA Certificate
Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Minimum 1–3 years’ experience as a Section Waiter in a comparable hospitality venue or a relevant Diploma in Hospitality
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced service environment
Strong attention to detail
High standards of personal presentation and grooming
Experience using POS systems

Preferred (but Not Essential):
Experience with Italian cuisine and food & wine service
Experience using SevenRooms or similar reservation systems
Ability to speak Italian
