About the Opportunity:
Are you an experienced administrator with a passion for supporting education? We are partnering with a number of leading schools across Brisbane to find dedicated and professional School Administration Officers for immediate and upcoming vacancies.
As the welcoming face and organisational backbone of the school's front office, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school, providing high-level support to students, parents and teaching staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the front reception desk, acting as the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
- Handle all incoming phone calls, emails and correspondence, directing enquiries as needed.
- Maintain and update student records, including attendance, enrolments, and personal details using school-based software.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the school leadership team and teaching staff, including managing calendars and coordinating meetings.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of school newsletters, parent communications and other documents.
- Perform general office duties including data entry, filing, and ordering of school supplies and resources.
Skills and Experience:
- A valid QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check) is essential.
- Proven experience in an administration role, preferably within a school or educational setting.
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with school administration software is highly regarded.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents and staff.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to multitask and thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- A compassionate, patient and proactive approach to your work.
- A current First Aid and CPR certificate is highly desirable.
