UNI-SPAN HEIGHT SAFETY PTY LTD is the Australian entity of the broader Uni-Span Group, a specialist in formwork and scaffolding solutions for construction and infrastructure projects. Operating since at least 2006, the company provides and hires out Quickstage scaffolding systems, custom formwork solutions, and engineering support, serving industries such as civil, commercial, and power generation.
We are seeking skilled and qualified Scaffolders to join our team in NSW and QLD.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Determining job requirements and planning/configuring scaffolding
Undertake checking and assessing activities of scaffold prior to, during and at the completion of each build
Erecting lifting tackles by attaching pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures, and installing cables and attaching counterweights
Attaching slinging gear to hoisting equipment and objects to be moved using clamps, hooks, bolts and knots
Fitting and bolting tubes, support braces and components to form bases and build up scaffolding
Lifting and positioning sections of scaffolding
Carry out tasks within agreed time limits
Dismantling and removing on completion
Carry out tasks within agreed time limits
Fixing mesh and reinforcing steel into position in formwork for concrete pours
Setting up winches and rigging equipment to raise and position girders, plates, columns and other steel units
Erecting guard rails, guy wires, ropes and clears, laying planks and hanging safety nets
Help identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety
Maintain accurate records of inspection and hand over
Where possible, rectify identified defects, failures, errors or omissions to scaffold structures. If not possible ensure reporting to the required personnel and restrict access to structure until such time the defect is rectified
Adhere to all organisational and customer policies, procedures and Safety Health Management System requirements
Ensure all scaffold, temporary works and other scaffold related activities are undertaken in accordance with Australian Standards and the relevant states Code of Practice
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
Demonstratable working experience of at least 3 years in a similar role within the Construction and Maintenance industries
High Risk Work Licence (SB, SI or SA)
Proven experience erecting, maintaining and dismantling Scaffolding structures in the Port, Coal, Construction and Maintenance industries
Working at Heights Competency
Confined Space Entry Competency
Gas Test Atmospheres Competency
Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 Induction Competency
Desirable: Any or combination of Work Platform (WP), Forklift Truck (LF), Intermediate Rigger (RI), Dogger (DG) or Non-Slew Crane (CN) High Risk Work Licence/s
Construction Industry Induction – Blue/White Card
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Strong communication skills
Strong commitment to hassle free customer service
Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and compliance standards
Willingness to work extended hours, shift work or hours as required to achieve positive outcomes
Desire to lead a highly driven team to achieve successful outcomes for both the customer and in turn, MI Scaffold

Must have great work ethics
