Responsibilities

Liaise with procurement, maintenance, and operations teams to identify business requirements related to material master data.
Analyse existing data structures and processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for standardisation.
Document functional requirements and translate them into system specifications within SAP MM and related modules.
Work with stakeholders and suppliers to gather, verify, and manage technical data, certifications, and specifications.
Provide guidance and training to internal teams on cataloguing processes, data governance, and system use.
Monitor compliance with data standards, ensuring quality and integrity of master data for operational and business needs.
Support change management and system improvement initiatives to optimise business processes.
Main Tasks

Investigating and analysing business processes and data requirements to develop functional solutions.
Producing functional and technical specifications for system changes (SAP MM, Warehouse Management, and PM).
Creating and maintaining master and classification records, ensuring consistency with business rules.
Preparing reports and data analysis to inform decision-making and inventory optimisation.
Implementing and maintaining cataloguing standards, including descriptions, classifications, and technical details.
Collaborating with engineers for technical queries and approvals.
Conducting audits to ensure alignment with data governance and compliance standards.
Relevant Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Engineering
Industry certifications in SAP MM / Data Management (desirable).
Additional training in project management or business analysis methodologies
Engineering background with technical knowledge of the products and spares used for oil and gas maintenance.
Relevant Skills

High proficiency in SAP MM, query authoring (SQVI), and understanding of Warehouse Management and Plant Maintenance modules.
Advanced MS Excel, including VBA development and data automation.
Experience with Winshuttle Studio scripts including VBA development.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data governance skills.
Ability to translate complex technical information into clear business requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong knowledge in material cataloguing standards and structure
Proficiency in Australian industry standards for materials and equipment
Relevant Experience

Demonstrated experience in materials cataloguing or master data management within the oil and gas sector.
Proven record of implementing and maintaining master data governance frameworks.
Experience working with cross-functional teams to resolve business issues related to data quality and availability.
Knowledge of industry standards and engineering specifications relevant to oil & gas maintenance and operations.
Track record of identifying and delivering process improvements through system optimisation.
