Located at Laverton North, Victoria, they provide high-quality fastening solutions, assembly technology, and smart logistics systems to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and manufacturers. They are committed to driving productivity and helping clients solve their fastening and assembly challenges.
The Sales Representative will play a vital role in driving business growth by connecting manufacturers and industrial clients with their advanced fastening solutions and smart assembly technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting Bossard Australia’s value-added services, such as Smart Factory Logistics and engineering support.
The annual salary for this position is $76,515 to $77,000 plus superannuation.
Duties include:
• Works closely with the Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, General Manager, Engineering Teams in China & India, and the inside Sales Team in developing new accounts and maintaining relationships with existing clientele.
• Oversee and manage processes for client requests, orders, plans, schedule deliveries, and prepare shipping documentation.
• Attend to client enquiries/complaints/feedback and liaise with Sales, Business Development, General and Engineering Managers, and the Internal Sales Team for follow-up.
• Provide effective communication and coordination between sales and clients.
• Receive and facilitate clients' concerns and initiate any internal action that may be required.
• Support the Sales Manager and executives in sales follow-up, expedite orders and deliveries, and perform duties as entailed in such functions to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the sales and logistics support of the company.
• Ensure all risk buys are authorised by Management.
• Liaise with the Warehouse Department regarding outgoing deliveries to clients.
• Oversee the preparation and issue of Work Orders to the warehouse for assembly and packaging work.
• Ensure sales team updates and manages clients' project progress reporting.
• Follow up with Procurement/Purchasing for First Article samples.
• Liaise with the Quality Assurance Department & Engineers for First Article Reports.
• Manage a proactive approach in handling clients' needs.
• Ensures client satisfaction, including prompt dealing with client requirements.
• Oversee the performance of all duties within the sales and client service functions to attend to the client’s service needs in the manner expected of the global Bossard Australia business.
• Oversee the preparation of quotations to the client and follow up on the results.
• Review client credit payment and take prompt action to ensure no overdue amounts beyond the terms laid out by finance.
• Plan, administer, and review the provision of client services and after-sales services, and maintain sound client relations.
• Review & propose changes to policies & procedures related to the provision of client service to ensure efficient alignment of the business operation based on Bossard Asia.
• Pacific's Inventory & Risk Management Guidelines and Directives.
• Provide internal training on the provision of client to the sales team & new hires in the company.
• Work closely with all team members to instruct them on the company's policies & best practices when dealing with clients.
• Determine yearly working projection & action plans for the sales team in terms of the delivery of client service, client maintenance, etc.
• Play a proactive approach in handling clients' needs.
• Monitor the company auto-ordering portal 'Smart Logistic' & authorise 'risk buys' in the 'Smart Logistic' portal.
• Receive & facilitate clients' concerns & initiate any internal actions that may be required.
• Conduct monthly review & report the team's performance to the Bossard Asia Pacific section lead in Singapore.
• Support the Sales Manager in developing new accounts & maintain relationships with existing key accounts.
• Provide effective communication & co-ordination between the company & clients.
• Follow up with the Procurement team for First Article samples on engineered C parts for clients.
• Liaise with the Quality Department for First Article Reports.
• Liaise with the Warehouse Department for outgoing deliveries & special clients' requests on assembly or packaging.
• Work closely with our major clients’ engineering teams and Bossard China / India’s engineering teams to deliver cost downs and productivity improvements.
• One major client is manufacturing for local government Public Transport Rolling Stock orders (Trains & Trams), Regional and Metro Victoria, and Metro Perth Manufacturing sites. It is vital to stay across engineering improvements, particularly from Bossard India, and communicate between India and our local client base in Australia. English & Hindi are essential to this aspect of the position’s role.
• Vital to the success of this role is a good working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office in general, being able to communicate through MS Teams, and being familiar with MS365.
• An understanding of I4.0 Cyber Connective Logistics Systems, Bossard operates a Smart Factory Logistics System with weight sensor technology controlling and managing stock on hand and stock consumption for Bossard Australia clients.
• Manage on-site stocks via a software program known as ARIMS, which is an automated reordering and stock management system that requires Bossard Australia's internal sales executives to have an in-depth knowledge of this aspect of our business.
• Using ARIMS, monthly reports on consumption are prepared for our clients, sales volumes, invoice totals, stock on hand, stock on order, consumption data, and stock forecasting.
• Control internal and external quality documents to ensure validity.
Qualifications:
• Must have at least one to two (1-2) years of relevant experience.
• Should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
