Position Description
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Sales Performance Analyst to join our team at Khanz Auto Hub. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analysing sales performance data, inventory turnover, customer insights, and sales team metrics to drive data-informed decisions that optimise profitability, procurement, and overall business performance in our used vehicle dealership and fleet management operations.
The salary for this position ranges from $76,000 to $81,000 per year plus guaranteed superannuation, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Analyse sales transaction data across hundreds of annual vehicle sales to identify patterns in vehicle turnover rates, profitability by vehicle type/age/source, pricing effectiveness, seasonal demand variations, customer purchasing behavior, and margin performance to inform procurement and inventory decisions.
2. Consolidate data from sales transactions, vehicle purchases, refurbishment expenses, and customer records into organized databases enabling analysis of profitability and sales performance patterns.
3. Analyze inventory turnover by vehicle type, identify slow-moving vehicles, and recommend which vehicle categories to purchase more or less to improve capital efficiency and reduce holding costs.
4. Analyze refurbishment costs versus sale prices to determine how much to invest in repairs and improvements for different vehicle types to maximize profit margins.
5. Prepare performance reports and dashboards presenting which vehicles sell best, procurement recommendations, pricing strategies, and sales forecasts to inform business decisions.
6. Compare different vehicle sources (auctions, wholesale, trade-ins, direct purchases) by analyzing profit margins and sales speed to determine optimal allocation of the annual procurement budget.
7. Analyze customer data to identify buyer segments (individual, business, fleet), their vehicle preferences and purchasing patterns to guide inventory selection strategies.
8. Track and analyze sales representative performance metrics including conversion rates, average sale prices, margin achievement, product mix effectiveness, and customer satisfaction to identify best practices, training needs, and performance improvement opportunities.
Essential Requirements:
• At least a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification.
• At least 1 year of full-time work experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced Excel and experience in dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) and database management.
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience analysing sales metrics, product performance, customer trends and pricing structures.
• High attention to detail, accuracy and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Experience working with ERP/CRM systems and integrating data from multiple sources.
