We are seeking a mission-driven, relationship-oriented professional to join our team as a Sales Manager for Curriculum. The Sales Manager for Curriculum will lead the development and execution of a sales strategy for Ascension’s Pillars of Faith K–8 curriculum, all other curriculum developed by Ascension, and other Parish, Schools, and Small Group products as to be determined, driving adoption across Catholic schools and parishes with a particular focus on building relationships with diocesan leaders. This role is responsible for expanding our market presence in Catholic education, strengthening existing parish and diocesan relationships, and securing partnerships that support long-term growth. Working closely with the Directing Manager, Parish and Schools Associate General Managers, Parish and Schools Marketing Managers, and Parish Relationship Managers, the Sales Manager will establish Ascension as the most trusted provider of Catholic curriculum in the United States.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong background in Catholic Parish and School Curriculum sales and marketing, a deep understanding of the Catholic Church and its educational mission, and the interpersonal skills to serve as a trusted partner to schools and dioceses nationwide. This position will report to the Associate General Manager of the Schools team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Strategy & Execution
- In collaboration with the Parish and Schools Associate General Managers, develop and implement a sales plan tailored to the Catholic school and parish markets, including clear goals, timelines, and measurable KPIs to achieve the annual sales goals for the Parish and Schools teams.
- Identify and prioritize high-potential dioceses and Catholic school networks for targeted outreach and relationship-building and/or pilot opportunities at influential parishes and schools.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to align campaigns, messaging, and lead generation efforts with sales objectives.
- Create a structured sales pipeline and maintain accurate tracking of prospects, opportunities, and conversions in Hubspot.
- Responsible for the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing agreements with Catholic dioceses, schools, and parishes.
Relationship Development & Networking
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with diocesan leadership (superintendents, curriculum directors, catechetical offices), ensuring they are informed and engaged with Ascension’s offerings and to ensure that Ascension’s products are on the diocesan lists of approved curriculums.
- Represent Ascension at Catholic education conferences, diocesan events, and professional gatherings, with clear lead capture and follow-up processes.
- Serve as a trusted partner to Catholic schools and parishes, providing solutions tailored to their unique educational and catechetical needs.
Collaboration & Internal Alignment
- Partner with the Parish and School Associate General Managers to set sales priorities and resource allocation within the approved budgets of each team.
- Collaborate with the Parish and School marketers to follow-up on leads, to create sales and marketing collateral, and to maintain customer records in HubSpot or other CRM system.
- Work with product and curriculum teams to ensure sales presentations reflect the depth and uniqueness of the program.
- Provide regular market feedback to marketing and product teams to inform future enhancements.
Sales Enablement & Support
- In collaboration with marketing, develop sales materials, presentations, and proposals.
- Train parish/school relationship managers or other internal staff in best practices for curriculum sales.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform product positioning and sales strategy and sharing insights to keep the team ahead of changes.

Requirements
- A minimum of 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in Catholic education, publishing, or faith-based markets. 10+ years of sales experience preferred.
- BS/BA in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Deep understanding of Catholic education and catechetical formation.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and a proven ability to build trust-based relationships across varied stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships and driving adoption within Catholic schools or dioceses.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to varied audiences.
- Proficiency with HubSpot (CRM) and sales tracking tools.
- Ability to interpret customer data, analyze trends, and report findings.
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel to events and the Ascension office in Exton, PA, as needed.
