  • About the role
  • Are you energetic, resourceful, and ready to take on a role in a dynamic, fast-paced SaaS company? Planful is looking to expand our Sales Development team to keep pace with growing demand across Australia. In this role, you’ll develop skills to qualify outbound interest, generate pipeline, and help prospective customers solve real business challenges.
  • Requirements
  • Based in Australia, ideally in a major metro area (e.g., Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane)
  • 6–18 months of professional experience; sales background preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a confident and personable phone manner
  • Driven, proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
  • Self-starter with great interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Decisive and results-focused, ready to thrive in a high-energy environment
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Outreach is a plus
  • Genuine interest in developing a career in technology/SaaS sales
  • Proven ability to exceed goals or targets in previous roles
  • Coachable, open to feedback, and always seeking opportunities to learn and improve
  • Responsibilities
  • Drive outbound prospecting activities using the Planful technology stack
  • Have engaging, professional conversations with prospects over the phone to identify and qualify opportunities
  • Understand the challenges faced by finance professionals, gather requirements, and connect customer needs to the business value we deliver
  • Partner with Account Executives to plan and execute outbound strategies for target accounts
  • Build knowledge of the mid-market industry and the benefits our solutions provide
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly targets
  • Provide Account Executives with detailed call notes so the opportunity is well understood and next steps are clear
  • Keep customer records accurate and up to date in Salesforce.com
