About the role An exciting new opportunity has become available for a Risk and Compliance Officer to join the team at our Bayswater Power Station. Reporting to the Compliance, Assurance & Risk Manager, you will be responsible for understanding, delivering and the governance of AGL GRCI (Group Risk, Compliance and Insurance) risk & assurance standards as well as the, SoCI (Security of Critical Infrastructure) compliance and insurance requirements. Key responsibilities Maintain the completeness and accuracy of the risk register, compliance obligation register, audit/assurance and insurance actions the business risk and compliance tools. Assist with the identification and assessment of new and changed risk and compliance obligations and track actions through to completion. Complete Regulatory Impact Assessments and Compliance Risk Assessments for compliance obligations that have been assessed as Priority 1 obligations. Monitor and review risk, compliance, assurance, SoCI and insurance programs. Coordinate and engage with action owners to support the implementation of internal external audit program actions and track to completion. Work with relevant personnel to develop and mature risk, compliance, assurance and insurance reporting and processes. About you You will have demonstrated experience in a pervious Risk & Compliance or similar role with ideally an auditing background. Your ability to use influencing skills to bring about change and communicate them to a wide range of stakeholders will ensure your success in this role. In addition to the above you will have / demonstrate: Qualifications or certifications in compliance and/or risk management or auditing/quality assurance (desirable) or relevant field. Experience at a Lead/Co-Ordinator level in a similar or related business unit role. Demonstrated background and experience in risk, compliance, assurance, or audit activities with in-depth knowledge of associated frameworks and systems. Understanding of Compliance, Risk, Assurance and Audit principles from working in other large organisations (knowledge of ISO 37301, ISO 31000, ISO 19600, ISO 19011 required, ISO 9000 desirable). Ability to foster constructive engagement with stakeholders to drive meaningful change and deliver positive outcomes . Highly proficient in presenting information clearly, communicating effectively, and producing insightful reports. Adaptable and proactive, with the flexibility to navigate changing demands and fast-paced workflows. Knowledge of the energy industry, key challenges and industry wide risks (desirable, but not essential).
