UNI-SPAN HEIGHT SAFETY PTY LTD is the Australian entity of the broader Uni-Span Group, a specialist in formwork and scaffolding solutions for construction and infrastructure projects. Operating since at least 2006, the company provides and hires out Quickstage scaffolding systems, custom formwork solutions, and engineering support, serving industries such as civil, commercial, and power generation.
We are seeking skilled and qualified Riggers to join our team in NSW and QLD.
As a Rigger you will be responsible for assembling, installing rigging gears (such as cables, ropes, pulleys and winches), operating, and repairing rigging equipment to lift, move, and position heavy materials and machinery.
The role includes but is not limited to:
Determine the necessary type and size of rigging gear, and inspect and prepare the appropriate rigging gear/equipment for the task before use and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Attach rigging gear to equipment, structural steel or other heavy objects
Communicate with operators and crew to guide load movement and ensure safe execution
Build and dismantle rigging equipment and hoists
Use mechanical load shifting equipment and associated tools, such as winches, hoists and other lifting equipment, to lift, lower, move, position and secure objects
Maintain and repair rigging gear
Record completed work orders and report issues or hazards
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
Minimum 3 years working experience as a Rigger or in the same field
In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment, machinery, and safety protocols is essential. This includes the ability to perform load calculations
As this job is physically demanding, you must have physical strength and the ability required to lift heavy equipment and work long hours in various weather conditions and at heights
Strong communication, problem-solving, and spatial awareness
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
Must have great work ethics

Salary: Between $75,000 and $80,000 per annum + Super
