Bribie Island Priceline is a registered pharmacy outlet located in Bribie Island in QLD.

The Role

They are seeking a full time Retail Pharmacist to join their team in Bribie Island in QLD.

This is for a full time position at an annual salary between $90,000 to $100,000 depending on experience, plus superannuation.

The Responsibilities

Receives prescriptions, checks patients' medicine histories, and ensures optimal dosage and methods of administration and drug compatibility before dispensing

Prepares or supervises the preparation and labelling of liquid medicines, ointments, powders, tablets and other medications to fill prescriptions

Advises patients on drug incompatibility and contra-indications

Maintains prescription files and records issues of narcotics, poisons and habit-forming drugs

Stores and preserves vaccines, serums and other drugs subject to deterioration

Supplies non-prescription medicines, and diagnostic and therapeutic aids

Supervises and coordinates the work of pharmacy technicians, pharmacy interns and pharmacy sales assistants

The requirements

Successful completion of a Bachelor of Pharmacy

A current registration with AHPRA

At least 5 years’ experience in fulfilling similar responsibility in a retail pharmacy setting

At least 5 years of proficiency in pharmacy dispensing software and point-of-sale (POS) systems

At least 5 years of experience in providing customer service and pharmaceutical counselling

Attention to detail and precision in record keeping

Demonstrated experience working in fast paced environment

Ability to work autonomously and in a face-paced, pressured environment.

Ability to contribute ideas, demonstrate initiative and manage change.

Able to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships.

Ability to plan and organise self and others to ensure the timely completion of tasks and achievement of targets
