We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager (Shop Manager) to lead daily operations, manage staff, and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities

Product & Stock Management: Determine product mix across fresh produce, groceries, and café offerings. Monitor stock levels, manage waste, and ensure all products are fresh, seasonal, and high quality.
Purchasing & Supplier Coordination: Build strong relationships with local farmers and suppliers. Negotiate pricing and supply terms, ensuring consistency of produce while keeping costs within budget.
Marketing & Promotions: Develop and implement marketing strategies, in-store promotions, and social media campaigns to increase visibility and sales. Create engaging displays that highlight seasonal produce and café specials.
Customer Service & Sales: Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service. Assist customers with product selection, provide advice on fresh produce and café menu items, and resolve customer concerns professionally.
Financial & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock, sales, and financial transactions. Prepare budgets, track financial performance, and ensure profitability across both retail and café operations.
Staff Management & Training: Recruit, train, roster, and supervise staff across retail and café teams. Provide ongoing coaching to maintain high standards in service, product knowledge, and food safety.
Health, Safety & Compliance: Oversee compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations. Ensure the café and retail store remain clean, safe, and welcoming for staff and customers.
Operational Efficiency: Manage day-to-day operations to ensure smooth service in both retail and café areas. Monitor performance, resolve operational issues promptly, and implement improvements where needed.
Community & Brand Engagement: Act as an ambassador for Cooroy Harvest Fresh & Cafe. Build customer loyalty through positive engagement and strengthen the café’s reputation as a trusted community hub.
Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar retail or hospitality management role.
Relevant qualification in retail management, business, or a related field.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a team.
Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and stock management.
Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety standards.
A passion for fresh produce, hospitality, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Benefits

Competitive annual salary package of $70,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation.
