The Trustee for K & Y Family Trust operates a popular Burrito Bar restaurant in Coorparoo, QLD. Part of the well-recognised Burrito Bar brand, our business delivers vibrant Mexican-inspired dining experiences in a friendly and modern atmosphere. We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. This is a dynamic role where you will balance strategic planning with practical management, ensuring our store continues to provide exceptional service while achieving business goals.
Position: Retail Manager
Location: Coorparoo, QLD
Key Responsibilities
• Provide guidance to staff on customer service standards and product knowledge, ensuring consistent service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and workplace safety regulations at all times.
• Drive local marketing initiatives, community engagement, and brand promotion activities to strengthen the restaurant’s presence.
• Build strong customer relationships by engaging with guests, responding to feedback, and ensuring repeat business.
• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, stock usage, and other key performance indicators.
• Monitor stock availability, set appropriate inventory levels, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement.
• Supervise, train, and support staff, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring high performance across the team.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in service, product offerings, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of menu pricing strategies, promotions, and marketing campaigns to attract and retain customers.
• Manage store budgets, sales targets, and expenditure, ensuring profitability while maintaining service standards.
Qualifications & Experience
• Hold an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma
• At least 1 year of experience in a retail, restaurant, or hospitality management role.
• Ability Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive mindset.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, inventory, and sales performance.
• A customer-first attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding dining experiences.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Hours & Remuneration
• Full-time: 38 hours per week, including weekends as required.
• Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation per annum.
