Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Retail Manager to lead the daily operations of our service station and supermarket in Mount Garnet, QLD. You will be responsible for managing staff, driving sales, and ensuring high standards of customer service and safety. Aligned with BP Global’s values, the role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and a commitment to integrity and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
-Manage overall store operations including inventory, staffing, customer service, and sales performance.
-Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and improve business performance.
-Monitor and maintain stock levels, order supplies, and ensure timely replenishment.
-Supervise, train, and schedule employees to maintain a productive and efficient workforce.
-Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.
-Analyse sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to inform purchasing and promotional strategies.
-Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the store is clean, safe, and well-presented.
-Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and timely manner.
-Collaborate with senior management on business planning, budgeting, and performance reporting.
-Ensure proper maintenance of fuel station facilities and compliance with industry standards.
Experience & Qualifications
-AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associate Degree or higher qualification is essential for eligibility.
-Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a retail management role.
-Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
-Excellent organizational and communication skills.
-Sound understanding of retail sales, inventory control, and customer service best practices.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make effective decisions under pressure.
