Job Title: Retail Manager
Salary: $75,000 to 85,000 per annum plus 12 % superannuation
Hours: Full Time Permanent (38 hours per week)
Location: Goulburn, NSW 2580
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for the control and management of all store operations and coordination of staff and resources in order to provide an efficient and profitable service.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Plan, organize, and control the day-to-day operations of the retail store to achieve sales and profitability targets.
Determine product mix, manage stock levels, and oversee inventory control to prevent overstocking and stockouts.
Formulate and implement purchasing and marketing strategies, including setting prices and promotional activities.
Actively engage with customers on the sales floor to provide expert product advice, demonstrate product features, and assist with purchasing decisions.
Develop and execute strategies to enhance customer service and satisfaction, ensuring a high-quality shopping experience.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including sales, expenses, and banking.
Prepare and manage the store's budget, including forecasting and variance analysis.
Recruit, train, and supervise retail staff, including performance management and rostering.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations within the store.
Develop and implement loss prevention strategies to minimize shrinkage and theft.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate terms of trade.
Oversee the visual merchandising of the store to create an appealing and engaging environment.
Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure the store is well-maintained and presented to a high standard at all times.
Report on store performance to senior management on a regular basis.
Minimum qualification required is Australian Diploma/Advance Diploma or higher-level qualification with 1 years mandatory relevant work experience. In the absence of qualification, 3 years full time relevant work experience is required.
