Subway Minchinbury is a fast-paced quick-service restaurant operating within the globally
recognised Subway franchise system. The store provides freshly prepared sandwiches,
salads, and beverages to a high-volume customer base, with daily operations focused on
food safety compliance, efficient service delivery, stock control, and team coordination. As
part of the Subway franchise network, the store follows structured operational procedures
covering food preparation standards, inventory systems, point-of-sale operations, customer
service protocols, and workplace hygiene requirements. The business relies on strong retail
supervision to maintain consistency in service quality, product presentation, and
operational efficiency across all trading hours.

To support ongoing operations, STI Holdings Pty Ltd requires a Retail Manager to oversee
daily store performance, coordinate staff, manage stock and ordering processes, and ensure
the restaurant operates in line with Subway brand standards and Australian food-retail
compliance requirements.

Position Overview
The Retail Manager is responsible for planning, organising, directing, and controlling the
day-to-day retail operations of the Subway store. The role ensures that customer service
standards, food-handling compliance, staffing coordination, and sales performance
objectives are consistently achieved.
This position combines operational supervision, team leadership, stock management, and
customer service oversight within a structured quick-service retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
Store Operations Management
• Oversee, WHS Compliance and daily retail operations including opening and closing
procedures
• Ensure food preparation, storage, and handling comply with safety and hygiene standards
• Monitor service flow to maintain efficiency during peak trading periods
• Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and equipment readiness
• Implement Subway operational procedures and retail service standards

Staff Supervision and Coordination
• Supervise retail staff during service periods
• Prepare staff rosters aligned with trading demand
• Train new employees in customer service, food preparation, and POS procedures
• Provide guidance and performance feedback to team members
• Promote a cooperative and efficient workplace environment

Inventory and Supply Management
• Monitor stock levels for ingredients, packaging, and store supplies
• Coordinate ordering and supplier deliveries
• Conduct stock rotation and minimise wastage
• Maintain inventory records and stock control systems

Sales and Customer Service Oversight
• Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained
• Respond to customer enquiries and resolve service issues
• Monitor sales performance and daily takings
• Support promotional activities and in-store sales initiatives

Financial and Administrative Coordination
• Assist in monitoring store budgets and operating costs
• Prepare basic operational reports for business owners
• Ensure POS transactions and cash-handling procedures are followed
• Support compliance with workplace health and safety requirements

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should demonstrate capability consistent with Retail Manager responsibilities
within a food-retail or quick-service environment.
i. A qualification equivalent to an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Retail
Management, Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field (ANZSCO Skill Level 2),
ii. At least one year of relevant experience in retail supervision or team-leader responsibilities
within a food retail, franchise, or quick-service restaurant environment.
iii. Experience working with point-of-sale systems, stock control processes, customer service
delivery, and staff coordination in a retail setting.
iv. Demonstrated understanding of food-safety procedures, hygiene standards, and daily store
operations within a quick-service environment.
v. Strong communication, organisational, and team-coordination skills suitable for supervising retail
staff and supporting store operations.
