About the Role
As the Retail Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing the store, focusing on
customer service, operational efficiency, cost control, and business growth. You will oversee the smooth execution of business strategies and ensure key operational goals are met across the retail network.
This role includes managerial and administrative duties such as determining product mix,
Managing stock levels, setting service standards, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Minimum Requirements
AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant field.
3+ years of experience in a similar role.
Strong operational management background
Ability to embrace change at a store and instil culture of excitement
Demonstrated Volume stock management abilities
Roles and responsibilities:
Ability to work varied site trading hours, including weeknights and weekends.
To work towards targets that include fuel volume, shop sales, safety, service, standards and customer priority.
Flawlessly implementing the convenience store promotional and retail development plans.
Managing the overall image and standards of the store promotional and retail development plans
Ensuring effective communication through the channel from key stakeholders through your network to ensure focus and delivery on core objectives.
Identifying new retail, business development and continuous site opportunities
Create and deliver daily plans and strategies to ensure store and individual budgets and KPI's are achieved
Execute and manage visual merchandising within the store
Motivating and leading sales and controlling expenses (including wages and shrinkage) through your understanding and driving of KPI's, loss prevention strategies and operational excellence
Overseeing and management of retail inventory records and stock levels for all retail operation
Recruiting, training and retaining team members to create a fun, collaborative and success focused culture
Mentoring and developing the team in providing amazing customer's experience
Key Skills & Attributes:
Passion for the retail sector and providing exceptional customer service.
Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a team to meet high service standards.
Proven success in meeting sales, wage, and stock loss targets.
Strong skills in stock management and loss prevention.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving sales and achieving KPis.
