The Suffolk Park Hotel is a well-established hospitality venue located in Suffolk Park, just minutes from Byron Bay. Known as a favourite meeting place for both locals and visitors, the venue features a vibrant restaurant and bar, live entertainment, functions and events, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere. The business prides itself on quality food, friendly service, and creating memorable guest experiences.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified full-time Restaurant Manager to join their team. The successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Planning menus in consultation with chefs, estimating food costs and profitability, and adjusting menus as required
• Monitoring food quality and service standards at all times, ensuring customer satisfaction
• Maintaining a safe, secure, and hygienic environment by enforcing sanitation standards and procedures
• Handling customer complaints professionally and efficiently
• Maintaining and updating job-related knowledge
• Achieving operational objectives by contributing to strategic planning, reviews, and budgeting
• Organising staff rosters, recruiting, and training new staff
• Arranging maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities
• Reconciling daily receipts, balancing sales, and securing end-of-day deposits
• Scheduling work hours for front-of-house and kitchen staff
• Estimating consumption, forecasting requirements, and managing inventory
• Organising, planning, and prioritising daily operations
• Making decisions and solving problems related to menus and staffing
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and sales representatives

Requirements

• Diploma or higher relevant qualification
• Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge and techniques

• Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• High organisational and management capability

Employment Details

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation
