ICBM SERVICES PTY LTD is looking for an experienced Residential Care Officer for our
client's organisation across NSW in Australia. On a full-time basis, you will be part of a
multidisciplinary and well-supported team.
Pay: A$85,000.00-A$95,000.00 per year
Title: Residential Care Officer, Full-time position
Salary: A$ 85,000.00 to 95,000.00 plus super
Work Location: In person.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• To provide support and information to clients, guidance
on emotional, recreational, health or other social welfare matters.
• To support a diverse range of clients, assessing
clients' needs and planning, developing and implementing educational, training a
nd support programs who may have the following:
? intellectual disability,
? Physical disability (paraplegic, quadriplegic, amputee, etc.)
? neuromuscular disorder (such as cerebral palsy)
? sensory impairment (deaf, blind)
? brain injury (frontal lobe or temporal lobe syndrome)
? spinal cord injury
? autism spectrum disorder
? neurological condition (epilepsy, narcolepsy)
? degenerative condition (muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis)
? Dementia (Korsakoff’s syndrome, Alzheimer's)
? Chronic Mental Health condition (schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder)
? Acute health conditions and/or trauma
? Alcohol and other addictions
? Forensic history
? Social disadvantage and/or complex needs
• Help in supervision of residents within their community,
in home or in a group home and assist in social and living skills
and training to encourage independency in the community.
• To ensure monitoring and reporting on the progress of clients
• Assisting in serving meals and performing any other housekeeping duties that are
required.
• To be able to perform independently with people with disabilities on a one-to-
one basis encouraging clients to develop
personal, community and social relationships
• To work cooperatively and effectively with a range of professionals and services t
o enhance client care.
• To liaise with the community and local support groups or networks
to encourage activities and training for people with disability.
• To educate clients’ behavioural standards
by compiling disciplinary reports and assisting in the implementation of any
required remedial measures.
• Maintaining contemporary professional conduct, maturity and commitment to ong
oing professional development
• Participate inaction-based research and implement outcomes in clinical practice
• To identify the needs of clients and manage an approach to health service
delivery
• Demonstrate the use of initiative and ability to priorities
work and time management skills
• To work in a safe manner in accordance with Work Health and Safety
• Comply with relevant legislation, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
• Understanding of and commitment to continuous quality improvements
Essential Requirements:
• The entry requirement for this occupation is an AQF Diploma, Certificate in
Disabilities or higher qualification, or at least 1 year full-time relevant experience.
In some instances, relevant experience is required in addition to the formal
qualification
• Up to date First Aid Certificate
• Valid Working with Children’s Check
• Up to date Australian Federal Police Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check

carers and staff.

• Organisational skills including time and case load management
• Computer literate
