Job title: Residential Care Officer

Pay: AUD $70,000-$80,000 per year

Key Responsibilities include:
•Interviewing individuals to understand the challenges they face and evaluating the depth of their difficulties.
•Preparing reports and funding proposals for government agencies and other organisations to secure resources and support.
•Developing, planning, and executing training, education, and support programs tailored to clients’ needs.
•Supervising individuals on probation or parole, ensuring compliance with guidelines and offering support for reintegration.
•Monitoring clients’ progress over time and providing detailed updates on their development.
•Helping young people address and overcome emotional, social, and financial difficulties.
•Providing care and education for individuals with disabilities in shared accommodations, adult care facilities, or government programs.
•Engaging with community organisations, welfare agencies, and private sectors to address local issues and promote resource awareness.
•Identifying gaps in community resources, including housing, healthcare, education, and employment services, and strategising improvements.
•Referring clients to specialised services or agencies for additional support.

Requirements:
• A relevant diploma or higher qualifications with specialisation in residential care services, health and wellbeing, disability services or youth work.
• Experiences within a home care/residential care/disability care/youth work setting desired.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to commute to client homes and different residential facilities
• Valid driver's license and access to dependable transportation.
• Police Check.
• Up to date with Flu & COVID-19 Vaccinations
