Your next career opportunity As a member of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, you will spearhead research in multiagent systems, focusing on reducing communication in distributed coverage controllers to extend the duration of missions. You will have the chance to innovate methodologies, collaborate across disciplines, and engage with industry partners, all while advancing your research career through conferences and publications. Your responsibilities will include: Drive Independent Research: Plan and execute research projects, publish in top journals, and present findings at conferences. Design and implementation of new algorithms: Supervise graduate students and collaborate with other researchers from theoretical and applied backgrounds. Engage with Industry and Community: Liaise with external networks, participate in outreach activities, and present research outcomes globally. You may be a great fit if: You hold a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, possess expertise in designing and developing optimisation and control algorithms, and excel in collaborative, interdisciplinary environments. Your ability to communicate complex research concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, coupled with your initiative and organisational skills, makes you an ideal candidate for engaging in global industry collaborations, including potential ventures in toy robotics. You may also: Have expertise in designing optimisation and control algorithms. Possess a proven record of quality research and publications. Demonstrate excellent communication skills for diverse audiences. Be adept at working independently and prioritising tasks effectively.
