Description: We are finalising a nonfiction book that explores AI, neuroscience, and parenting. The manuscript already includes in-text references to academic articles, books, and reports, and a draft list of references at the back. We are seeking a detail-oriented research assistant to: Locate the full academic papers, journal articles, or reports cited in the manuscript. Verify the accuracy of each citation (author names, year, title, journal, publisher, etc.). Add working hyperlinks (preferably DOI links, or reliable publisher/university links) to each reference in our bibliography. Ensure all references follow a consistent format (APA style preferred, though we are open to other standardised formats). Requirements: Strong academic research skills and familiarity with databases like Google Scholar, PubMed, JSTOR, ResearchGate, and university repositories. Ability to accurately format references in APA (or similar) style. High attention to detail and reliability. Prior experience with reference management, citation checking, or academic publishing preferred. Deliverables: A final, hyperlinked reference list for the book (Word or Google Doc format). A report noting any references that could not be located or accessed, with suggested alternatives. Timeline: We would like this completed within 3 days of project start.
