Overview I need an experienced remote sensing/GIS analyst to generate NDVI and NDMI maps for several coastal properties in Venus Bay, Victoria, Australia. The analysis will be used to assess vegetation health, soil moisture, and potential acid sulphate soil risk, and to identify soil sampling locations for an environmental consulting project. Scope of Work • Source Sentinel-2 / Landsat imagery for seasonal periods (summer, winter flooding, spring, early summer). • Apply cloud masking and calculate NDVI & NDMI. • Generate georeferenced maps (GeoTIFF + PNG) with legends using standard color palettes. • Highlight zones of vegetation stress and soil moisture anomalies. • Provide a shapefile/KML of recommended soil sampling sites. • Write a short report documenting methods and findings. Deliverables (Milestones) 1. Imagery sourcing & preprocessing. 2. NDVI & NDMI calculation. 3. Map styling & palettes. 4. Soil sampling recommendations + final report. Skills Required • Remote sensing analysis (NDVI, NDMI, Sentinel/Landsat). • GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS, Google Earth Engine). • Vegetation/soil monitoring expertise. • Experience with wetlands or coastal systems is a plus.
