You will take time with patients and their families supporting them through every step of their journey to being a parent. Our midwives are dedicated to providing all aspects of pregnancy, birth and postnatal care in our antenatal clinics and services, on our maternity wards and in birth suites, in addition to care for our babies in our special care nurseries. The Position Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required. Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital. Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate. Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and precepting staff. Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives. You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
