As an Associate in our R&D and Government Incentives team, you’ll play a vital role in helping clients identify, assess and document their eligibility for the R&D Tax Incentive and other government grant programs. What you’ll do: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business operations and activities and advising them on how to access Government funding. Evaluate client projects to determine eligibility for R&D tax incentives, ensuring compliance with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) guidelines. Utilise your skills to support R&D claims, including project descriptions and financial analysis. Provide strategic advice on R&D tax planning and optimisation, helping clients maximise their benefits and how to access Government Grants. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams at the client and within PwC, to deliver comprehensive solutions. What we’re looking for: Proactive learner with an interest in innovation, government funding programs and tax incentives, and a willingness to develop expertise in R&D tax and grants Background in accounting, finance, science, engineering, technology or a related discipline, and strong analytical skills Collaborative team player who is comfortable working with diverse specialists (engineers, scientists, lawyers, tax professionals) and managing multiple priorities. Curious, detail-focused thinker who enjoys understanding how things work and can interpret technical R&D activities against legislation and guidelines.
