Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck and shovel terrace operation. Collinsville also offers accommodation provided at the on-site village boasting comfortable facilities. An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Radio/OT Technician to join our dynamic and successful team. As a valued member of the Maintenance team and reporting directly to the Infrastructure and Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for: Scheduled and breakdown maintenance of all heavy equipment including trucks, dozers, diggers and dragline with systems such as but not limited to: LTE, Tetra, Guardvant, Modular and CAT Terrain. Providing Radio system, communication & data system maintenance and services Use your trade experience to perform maintenance activities in a team environment whilst ensuring safety and production targets are met efficiently Maintaining our onsite maintenance systems and ensure the integrity of recorded data is compliant Liaise with key personnel and share ideas for overall improvement outcomes Identify, assess and control workplace hazards For the above position you must demonstrate your unswerving commitment to get the job done in a safe & timely manner, have a positive attitude and the ability to work proactively and effectively. To be successful in this role, you will have: Relevant Trade Qualification is desirable (Communications Technician) Relevant experience as a technician in the mining industry or in Operational Technology (communications/radio) / or Collision Awareness Systems Familiarisation and understanding of relevant legislation and experience in open cut mining and previous experience within the coal industry. Proven problem-solving skills, you will be successful in driving continuous improvement of site processes and systems. Excellent safety mindset with the ability to positively influence the culture at Collinsville. Relevant experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
