Join our thriving bakery team as a qualified baker at The Bread Spot, located in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, VIC. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing some of our daily operations of our popular local bakeshop, ensuring consistent high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

Help lead a team of skilled bakers and apprentices
Oversee the production of a wide range of freshly baked breads, pastries, and other baked goods
Ensure all baking processes adhere to food safety and quality standards
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
Develop new recipes and product ideas to expand our bakery's offerings
Help manage our sales team and liaise with customers to address any concerns
Possibly oversee the bakery's financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement
What we're looking for

Expert knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and equipment
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Trade qualifications
Management experience a bonus but not necessary
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficient in inventory management and cost control
A passion for creating high-quality baked goods and providing exceptional customer service
