On behalf of Payload Industries, we are looking for a QC / Material Inspector / Technician to join Payload’s workshop in Forrestfield.

Schlam payload is a leading Australian engineering and manufacturing company specializing in the design, manufacture, and supply of mining truck bodies and buckets, as well as the provision of comprehensive aftersales services. Our operations include the supply of parts and accessories, mobile repair and installation services, and field support for clients across major mining regions in Australia.

About the role :

To ensure the upkeep of quality, not only prevent defects, but also ensure that the parts are made to design specifications and will function properly

Duties & responsibilities :

- Inspection of production parts, assemblies and welds for compliance to Australia standards, production drawings and weld procedures
- Assist in coordinating and working with contractors to facilitate required 3rd party quality testing/inspections
- Perform MPI weld testing
- Complete inspection reports for weld traceability and client reporting
- Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control

Key requirements :

- MEM240003B - Perform basic magnetic particle testing
- Basic weld inspectors’ certification or higher
- 5 - 7 years’ experience as trade certification – Fabrication /boilermaker
- 2 years of previous in process inspection or manufacturing QC experience using measurement equipment, jigs and drawing information

Salary : $ 85,000 - $105,000 per annum + super commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience
