Why this role matters: The Salvation Army Oasis Youth Services provides critical support to young people aged 16–25 who are facing a range of complex challenges, including mental health issues, trauma, homelessness, substance use, and family violence. We offer a safe space where young people can access psychological support, group programs, and holistic care. About the role: We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Youth Psychologist to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership and clinical role that combines individual therapeutic work, program delivery, staff management, and service development. This is a part-time position (2 days per week) based in Blacktown, with occasional travel to our Liverpool site as required. Salary is in accordance with the Health Professionals and Support Services Award – Level 3. We welcome applications from both fully registered and provisional psychologists How you will make an impact Provide evidence-based psychological interventions to clients aged 16–25, individually and in group settings. Manage a small therapeutic caseload and deliver group programs in schools and partner organisations. Address a wide range of issues including complex PTSD, co-occurring mental health and substance use, depression, anxiety, homelessness, domestic violence, anger, and personality disorders. Ensure services are inclusive, trauma-informed, accessible, and culturally safe. Lead and supervise a team of program staff, including recruitment, development, and performance management. Contribute to program design, evaluation, and continuous improvement. Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and represent Oasis at relevant forums and networks. What you will bring Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field (Bachelor minimum) Registration with AHPRA (or working towards, if provisional) Demonstrated clinical experience with young people aged 16–25 (including placement experience for provisional psychologists) Proven ability to work with complex presentations including trauma, mental health, and substance use Strong group facilitation and counselling skills Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care and Practice Experience working with diverse populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse communities A current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Driver’s Licence Strong computer and data management skills What We Offer Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.
