The Project Manager/Scrum Master plays a key role in overseeing the Scrum and development teams, recognizing that communication is essential to success. In this role, you are an advocate for Agile and willl guide the team in applying digital service techniques to identify and solve core user needs. You will support the development and continuous delivery of a functional, user-centered government website.
This position is contingent on contract award. It is a remote based position within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Coach the team and stakeholders on how to use Agile/Scrum
- Organize and facilitate scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, grooming sessions, retrospectives, sprint and release planning and demos
- Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, team accountability, and ensuring the work is visible
- Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
- Support the product owner and provide education where needed
- Supervise staff in day-to-day activities including planning, organizing work, and adjusting workloads
- Approve staff leave and coordinate staff scheduling
- Participate in the hiring and selection process of new staff
- Address client’s concerns on issues of staff communication, performance, and conduct
- Prepare project reports as needed
- Brief leadership on project progress
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience managing Agile teams and leading Agile delivery frameworks (SAFe, Scrum)
- Active PMP or equivalent certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance is required
- Facilitation skills in leading planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives
- Excellent oral and written communications skills with proven track record interfacing with partners, clients, and other stakeholders is required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (Vaultes does not sponsor visas at this time)
