About the Role
This role will see you lead and deliver critical infrastructure projects across the Cairns region. Working closely with clients and Proactive Projects, you’ll take ownership of projects that support community growth, operational efficiency, and sustainability.

Projects may include:

Civil infrastructure upgrades (roads, drainage, or water/wastewater)

Mechanical installations and upgrades (pumps, equipment, plant)

Electrical works and systems installation or upgrades

Utilities renewals and network improvements

Contractor-led delivery programs

This is a contract role offering hybrid work flexibility once familiar with project delivery.

What You’ll Do

Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning and design through to execution and close-out

Develop scopes, business cases, schedules, and cost estimates for capital works

Prepare and release tenders, and manage contractor engagement

Oversee project execution, ensuring delivery is safe, timely, and within budget

Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across clients, contractors, and the community

Monitor and report on progress, risks, and project performance

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects (civil, mechanical, or electrical)

Demonstrated capability in scope development, business case preparation, and tender management

Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills

Solid technical knowledge relevant to civil, mechanical, or electrical works

A proactive, personable professional who can work independently and deliver results
