A key regional water authority is seeking an exceptional Project Coordinator to lead the development and coordination of their crucial Urban Water Strategy. This fixed-term contract offers a chance to make a significant impact on the long-term liveability and resilience of cities and towns in the region.

What You Will Be Doing
Your primary objective is to lead the coordination and development of the Urban Water Strategy. Key responsibilities include:
Project Leadership & Planning: Use your strong planning and organisation skills to outline and deliver the project according to the Urban Water Strategy Guidelines, proactively managing risks and adjusting the program as necessary.
Technical & Strategic Support: Review water supply/demand forecasts, support planning for infrastructure issues, and contribute to the development of the long-term capital program.
People & Collaboration: Lead and coordinate internal working groups across the business, fostering collaboration, setting clear objectives, and ensuring timely delivery of key inputs.
Report Writing & Communication: Exercise expert report writing and digital skills to collate technical information and produce a high-quality, community-friendly Urban Water Strategy document, including visual presentations and graphical representations.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement: Support an extensive participation process, liaising with external stakeholders and community members, and enhancing Traditional Owner group involvement in project governance.
Who We Are Looking For
You are an agile problem-solver with exceptional judgement and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Essential Selection Criteria:
Project Delivery: Proven ability to utilise professional judgement to plan, organise, prioritise, and deliver projects successfully.
Water Resource Knowledge: An understanding of water resource management issues, associated risk management practices, and infrastructure planning processes.
Collaboration & Leadership: Demonstrated experience working effectively across broad-based teams, leading working groups, and managing internal and external stakeholders.
Engagement Expertise: Strong understanding of the principles underpinning effective community consultation, customer engagement plans, and stakeholder management.
Communication: Demonstrated experience in the preparation of quality written reports, visual presentations, and graphical representations for a wide range of audiences.
You will typically possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or at least five years’ relevant workplace experience, including professional experience in project-based work, coordinating working groups, and community consultation.
