We now have an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant to join our Finance team in Perth or Brisbane CBD office on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Project Accounting Leader you will be responsible for the financial management and reporting of a portfolio of Power and Gas development projects. This role ensures that all financial activities are accurately recorded, reported and aligned with project delivery requirements. You will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders, providing financial insights and analysis to support effective decision making across the projects pipeline. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate project budgets, forecasts and cost tracking. Prepare project financial reports, including variance analysis, cost to complete and cash flow projections. Monitor project expenditures, accruals and commitments to ensure alignment with approved budgets. Assist with project close-outs, ensuring all costs are reconciled and final financials are complete. Maintain general ledger systems and ensure integrity of financial data and controls. Maintain strong internal controls, audit trails, and secure financial systems. Capitalise assets in the fixed assets register in accordance with applicable policies and accounting standards when required. Your background Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CA/CPA qualified or working towards desirable). Demonstrated experience in financial and/or management accounting within complex, fast-paced environments. Solid background in project accounting, including reporting and cost control. Strong proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills, with exposure to Power BI highly regarded.
