ABOUT THE JOB

- multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to
- plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate
- clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will
- often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the
- players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

- constantly changing. The UGC (User Generated Content) team is responsible for
- enabling our Maps users to tell us about what they're seeing in the real world
- related to their experiences with places and navigation. Empowering our users to
- tell us about the changes that they're seeing is critical to Google Maps mission
- to assist people everywhere as they navigate, explore, and get things done in
- the world.
- As a Program Manager, you will lead software engineering projects in one of our
- core programming languages and influence teams that design, develop, test,
- deploy, maintain, and improve software. You will plan requirements, identify
- risks, manage schedules, and communicate clearly with project stakeholders.
- You’ll learn and grow alongside talented teammates who share your attention to
- detail and appetite for problem-solving.
- In this role, you will be responsible for making the user experience seamless,
- engaging and even fun.
- The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful
- maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps
- Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps
- services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.
- The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms
- to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of
- mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful
- and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real
- world.
