The Role

Program Managers coordinate the delivery of multiple related projects and other change activities, which may include business-as-usual activities.

Key duties and responsibilities

The services delivered include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Manage the Program and lead the delivery of project outputs using the Managing Successful Programmes methodology, including overseeing budget, schedule, outcomes, risks, benefits, outcomes and quality standards; 

• Have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to manage vendor, technical and business stakeholder relationships; 

• Direct project, technical and business resources to deliver work packages by attending meetings with project teams and clients, managing risks and resolving issues; 

• Responsible for the creation and maintenance of project documentation in accordance with program requirements and methodologies based on MSP and Prince2; 

• Engage with internal IT staff, Executive members and external agencies as required or directed; 

• Ensure projects deliver the agreed outputs; 

• Contribute to enhancing the Program management frameworks and processes; 

• Provide knowledge/skills transfer to other team members; and 
• Record and maintain files/information.
