About the Position
The Production Supply and Distribution Lead at Sunny Queen Australia plays a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient operation of our supply chain and warehouse functions in Hallam, VIC. This role is critical to ensuring seamless stock management, timely delivery of customer orders, and adherence to food safety and quality standards, all while leading a dedicated team to meet DIFOT (Delivered In Full, On Time) targets. By driving operational excellence and championing safety, this position supports Sunny Queen’s commitment to delivering high-quality egg products to customers nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Lead the Stores team to achieve DIFOT targets and maintain high service levels.
Plan and maintain optimal stock levels, balancing supply needs with cost efficiency.
Support negotiation and management of supplier agreements to secure optimal quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Develop and implement strategies, policies, and plans for purchasing, storing, and distributing goods.
Oversee dispatch of customer orders, ensuring accurate product, quantity, and timing.
Control inbound and outbound transport schedules, resolving delivery or pick-up issues promptly.
Coordinate scheduled stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records.
Focus on stock control, reconciling discrepancies, and managing stock in held areas.
Operate and maintain tracking systems for goods movements, ensuring timely replenishment.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in supplier deliveries and purchase orders.
Manage shell eggs and raw materials in compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Organise packaging transfers and consumable orders from external sources.
Ensure strict adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) for perishable materials, reporting issues promptly.
Record all inventory movements accurately in manual or electronic systems.
Ensure goods delivered for other departments are received, checked, and dispatched efficiently.
Maintain clean and organised cool room, dry goods, and loading areas.
Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align with current and future systems.
Champion and implement safety regulations within the warehouse.
Perform additional related duties as required.
Requirements

Minimum qualification of a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in supply chain, warehouse management, or distribution.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management systems, stock control processes, and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of food safety and quality standards; experience with FIFO principles.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, excellent communication and negotiation skills, problem-solving aptitude, and a proactive approach to managing discrepancies and operational challenges.
