About the role

A long-established Mailing House offering Print solutions is seeking a versatile Production Supervisor. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our mailing and print operations in Marrickville. This full-time position is responsible for leading a team of production staff to ensure we meet our quality, productivity and safety targets. You will be a key part of the operations team, working closely with the management to drive continuous improvement across our production processes.

What you'll be doing
1. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team to ensure work is completed on time and to the required quality standards
2. Managing and identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions for productivity and efficiency
3. Provide hands-on leadership and coaching to the production team, motivating them to deliver the required results
4. Ensure the production facility operates in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner
5. Collaborate with other departments, such as scheduling, print and logistics, to optimize workflow and minimise disruption
6. Monitor and co-ordinate the incoming and outgoing production materials used in daily operations and workflow

What we're looking for
1. Several years' experience in a production supervisory role, preferably within the mailing and print industries
2. Knowledge and experience of Mailing, Folding and Polly Wrapping machinery
3. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
5. Proficient in interpreting and analysing production data to identify and resolve issues for future production planning and processes
6. Familiarity with production planning and scheduling software, as well as quality management systems
7. Knowledge and experience in maintaining a safe and productive work environment
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
