We are currently seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and improving the mechanical systems across our facilities.
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Production or Plant Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production processes, a passion for continuous improvement, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products. Tasks and duties include:
· Reviewing production workflows, team structures, and operational information to clarify responsibilities and identify inefficiencies
· Developing methods to measure work activities and assess labour performance across production areas
· Assessing production data, workforce deployment, plant layout, and operating schedules to improve productivity and cost efficiency
· Assisting with the design, modification, and improvement of production equipment, machinery, and plant systems
· Preparing technical documentation and specifications relating to equipment, materials, production capacity, and process layouts
· Supporting the coordination of labour, materials, and equipment required for production improvement projects
· Establishing and applying engineering procedures for installation, modification, testing, inspection, and quality control activities
· Conducting regular inspections of plant and equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation
· Assisting with maintenance planning by contributing to equipment upgrade plans and maintenance schedules
· Ensuring engineering activities comply with workplace health and safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements
About You
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
· Proven experience as a Production Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment of at least 1 year
· Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and materials.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
· Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
· Continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to process optimisation
Remuneration:
This is subject to your skills, qualifications and experience, but it would be within a salary range of between $75,000 - $85,000 per annum + superannuation.
