Where is the position located?

Full-time position at our Hazelmere, WA facility.

What does a typical day look like?

- Oversee Daily Yard Operations: Supervise the cutting, bending, and pre-fabricating of reinforcement steel products to meet project deadlines.
- Production Planning & Workflow Management: Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring seamless workflow and adherence to delivery timelines.
- Bending Machine Supervision: Ensure optimal performance of bending machinery through regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Material Handling & Inventory Management: Coordinate the procurement, stock control, and efficient handling of materials to minimize waste and maximize resource utilization.
- Team Leadership: Lead and monitor a team of skilled workers, providing on-the-job training and performance feedback, and promoting a collaborative environment for productivity and safety.
- Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and implement process improvements to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, and promoting best practices to reduce accidents and improve the work environment.

What do we know about you?

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in production management and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to optimize production processes.
- Experienced in managing equipment maintenance and ensuring high availability and performance.
- Strong understanding of occupational health and safety standards in the manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication and organisational skills to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Educational background:
- A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management or a related field is preferred, with a strong preference for a candidate with a degree in Production Engineering. Equivalent industry experience in reinforcement steel fabrication, manufacturing, or production management will also be considered.
