Mandole Orchard are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Production Manager to join their team in Lake Wyangan NSW.
The Production Manager will lead and optimise manufacturing operations at Mandole Orchard, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational excellence. This role is pivotal in driving productivity, quality, and continuous improvement across all production activities.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Assembling product components, preparation and operation of production equipment and machinery.
- Perform and ensure effective cleaning, sanitation and cleaning-in-place (CIP) processes of production lines.
- Running production equipment to ensure achievement of targets and organising maintenance of equipment as necessary
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance of production equipment. Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations Manager as required.
- Oversee maintenance proactive, predictive, preventive, reactive. Ensure upkeep of detailed maintenance records
- Manage the supply of parts and tools related to production
- Manage operating hours of staff to service production whilst monitoring their roles and performance
- Develop and implement practical production orientated solutions to technical problems and lead process improvement.
- Work cross functionally with production, QA & external suppliers.
- Maintain equipment and the building whilst complying with mandatory regulations.
- Co-ordination of incoming raw materials.
- Manage inventory and storage of goods and materials within the facility in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
- Committing stock to orders, ensuring appropriate stock rotation and maximising potential of available stock (quality and size profile) and minimise waste.
- Providing post-production and wastage reports to Operations Manager and adjust processes and resources accordingly to minimise costs
- Ensure product quality and safety standards are met and procedures are followed.
- Oversee new plant purchases and equipment and manage the installation of these.
- Lead and oversee the trades team and ensure site services are maintained.
- Engage and supervise contractors undertaking specialised work on site.
Required Skills
- At least 5+ years production experience in food and beverage manufacturing facility.
- Automation experience.
- Computer skills.
- Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors, trades and staff.
Salary range is $80,000-$100,000pa commensurate with experience
