Pipemakers is a leading manufacturer of PVC pipes, renowned for its commitment to innovation and uncompromising quality. Based in Acacia Ridge, Queensland, the company operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and continues to set benchmarks in technology and product excellence.
On behalf of the company, we are seeking a full-time Production Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is integral to the efficient design, optimisation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to the company’s ongoing success.
Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Assess manufacturing activities for efficiency and quality, focusing on optimising processes in the production line.
• Ensure compliance with safety and total quality procedures by the team.
• Collaborate in projects related to the manufacturing, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery in industrial plants.
• Verify the continuous performance of equipment, assisting in the implementation of preventive and corrective measures.
• Participate in the development of Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) and preventive maintenance plans for equipment operation and maintenance while focusing on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans (cleaning and lubrication) to ensure the operability of equipment.
• Perform analysis and propose optimisation to manufacturing processes, aiming to increase productivity and reduce costs.
• Assist decision makers in developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies to achieve performance goals.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure effective integration of manufacturing activities with other areas of the company.
• Monitor compliance with regulations and legal requirements related to the operation and modification of industrial equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in production engineering, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-optimisation skills, with a focus on efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of translating technical concepts into clear information for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with PVC manufacturing processes or plastics production will be highly regarded.
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $78,000 - $85,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
