YOUR ROLE: Come join us as Production Engineer at our Mulwala site. The Production Engineer is a key role within the Australian Munitions engineering team and is responsible for leading and assisting the development and assurance of safe, effective and efficient products and production processes, and leading and assisting the continuous improvement of products and production processes. The Production Engineer is an important contributor to technical and operation outcomes. Working at our Mulwala site, on Pangerang and Yorta Yorta Land, your exciting new career opportunity will see you: Developing and applying knowledge and experience of Nitrocellulose, Acid and explosive ordnance, and associated production technologies. Develop and apply an understanding of the safety, quality and administrative systems (policies and guidelines) necessary to manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of production areas. Provide technical advice to the Production Manager, Team Leaders and technical staff on the Section and to others as necessary. Manage and/or contribute to project work by developing and implementing engineering solutions to improve processing efficiency, minimise environmental effects, develop new products, enhance safety and product performance. Prepare specifications, assess tenders, prepare contracts, and take an active role in the development, implementation and commissioning phases of Section projects. Prepare reports, schedules and cost summaries as required. Delivering projects to budget and schedule. YOUR EXPERIENCE: Tertiary qualified in a chemical or mechanical discipline and have at least 3 years demonstrated professional experience in a design, production or manufacturing environment. Commitment to health and safety, sound knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality systems and HAZOP assessment methodology. Knowledge of MRP software systems (BPCs an advantage). An understanding of Lean methodologies and practices is desirable. Proven trouble shooting and fault-finding skills. Collaborative by nature, you can successfully engage and influence key stakeholders. Good communication skills including verbal and written for technical report writing.
