Shape intelligent digital experiences that simplify lending and credit decisioning See yourself in our team You are impact‑driven, customer‑obsessed and passionate about creating intelligent digital experiences that make lending simpler and smarter. You bring product thinking, intellectual curiosity, and strong stakeholder skills to deliver scalable, compliant and commercially sound outcomes. You thrive in complex environments, turn ambiguity into clarity, and collaborate confidently with engineers, risk partners, and business leaders to deliver meaningful change. Do work that matters As a Product Manager in the Institutional Lending Crew, you will help shape the future of the Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) business. You will design and deliver digitised tools that enable IB&M teams to make faster, better credit decisions, directly supporting our ability to provide funding certainty to institutional clients. IB&M supports Australia’s largest corporates and institutions with market‑leading banking, financing and risk solutions. The Lending Crew plays a critical role in transforming how we originate, assess, and manage credit through modern digital platforms, advanced analytics and AI‑enabled decisioning. Our mission is simple: build lending experiences that are simpler, faster and smarter for bankers, risk executives, and customers, while maintaining strong risk, compliance and governance standards. You’ll join a collaborative, high‑trust team working in agile, cross‑functional squads across Product, Engineering, Data and Risk. Your impact In this role, you will: Lead discovery and delivery of digital credit‑related capabilities across IB&M lending platforms, including policy automation, risk profiling and decision‑support tools. Facilitate agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to drive aligned, high‑quality delivery. Translate complex credit, risk and operational needs into clear product epics, stories and prioritised backlogs. Partner with engineering and data teams to design scalable technical solutions and maintain strong data integrity. Support business readiness, testing and change activities to ensure smooth adoption of new capabilities. Use data and insights to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and guide product decisions. Proactively identify operational, compliance and delivery risks, embedding effective controls and mitigation strategies. We’re interested in hearing from people who have: Experience in product management, business analysis or digital delivery in financial services or other regulated environments (credit or institutional banking experience is a plus). Strong planning, prioritisation and problem‑solving skills. The ability to balance strategic objectives with customer, risk and business needs. A growth mindset and the desire to learn quickly. Experience translating complex requirements into clear product outcomes. A customer‑centred mindset, ideally with exposure to UX, service design or journey optimisation. Strong understanding of risk, compliance and governance in product delivery. Experience working with data, analytics or AI‑enabled solutions (technical depth is a bonus, not essential). Strong stakeholder engagement and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Risk mindset All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks. Your development We are committed to supporting your growth. In this role, you’ll build expertise across digital lending, AI and credit processes; expand your networks across IB&M; and have opportunities to demonstrate leadership through high‑impact initiatives.
