The Avocado Collective Advance Packing & Marketing Services Pty Ltd trading as The Avocado Collective is seeking a detail-oriented Avocado Product Grader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and sorting avocados to ensure they meet our high standards for quality, size, and ripeness before they are packed and shipped. This role is crucial for maintaining the quality of our produce and ensuring customer satisfaction.  Benefits Annual salary range AUD77000 - AUD80000. Task & responsibilities Perform physical and visual grading of avocados based on established quality criteria, including size, maturity, and absence of defects. Ensure that the right sized fruit is packed into the correct tray and quality grade based on company and customer specifications. Identify and remove damaged or substandard fruit and record grading information and findings. Follow QC inspections to required grade information to ensure that the graded produce complies with internal and external quality standards. Collaborate with the packing shed supervisor and team to provide feedback on the quality of incoming fruit. Ensure all grading activities comply with food safety standards and company protocols. Assist with other quality control tasks as needed, such as sample collection and testing. Qualification & experience Relevant qualifications or a minimum of 1 year relevant work experience. Previous experience in a food quality control or grading role, preferably with fresh produce. Strong knowledge of avocado varieties and quality indicators required. Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Higher level computer skills for data entry and record-keeping. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multicultural team.
