A critical 12-month contract opportunity is available for a Privacy Specialist to join the Digital Health Services division of a recognised leader in paediatric healthcare, teaching, and research. This role is essential for ensuring robust privacy and security across digital initiatives.

We are seeking a specialist to manage key privacy documentation, including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and ensure all digital solutions comply with stringent legislation, policies, and data ethics standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs): Managing and guiding the completion of PIAs for small to large digital projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and records management policies.
• Governance & Compliance: Collaborating with teams to align privacy and security programs, monitoring compliance, and ensuring appropriate data ethics practices are upheld.
• Risk Management: Identifying privacy risks, escalating inadequate protection of patient information, and providing actionable mitigation strategies.
• Incident Management: Tracking, investigating, and reporting inappropriate access or disclosure of health information, including engaging with the Office of the Information Commissioner (OIC) or CCC.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Providing expert, timely advice to senior leadership on complex data and privacy issues.

What You'll Bring:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in Privacy, Governance, or a similar transferable field.
• Relevant qualifications and methodologies.
• Expertise in interpreting and applying relevant legislation and data standards.
