  • Role purpose
  • This is a highly visible position, with core responsibility for delivering a broad range of resilience, crisis management and security consulting, developing deep and profitable client relationships, and management the Australia Pacific CSC business. Engagements will include crisis management planning and response projects, complex security risk management and governance, protective services, security audits and design and consulting assignments in Australia Pacific and coordinating with counterparts in our offices worldwide.
  • This position will play an important role in generating opportunities with new and existing clients by leveraging existing resources as well as building new capabilities.
  • Role tasks and responsibilities
  •  Working closely with existing resources in the market, generate commercial opportunities with new and existing clients across the range of CSC services
  •  Lead and, utilising a regional team of consultants and experts, deliver the full range of crisis management and security consulting and services engagements across Australia Pacific and across Asia broadly, when required. Be accountable from a quality perspective for these services.
  •  Represent Control Risks as a thought leader through market engagement via channels such as social media, professional organizations and industry events.
  •  Serve as a subject matter expert and ensure quality and consistency in service delivery.
  •  Act as a trusted advisor to key clients at senior-leadership and Board levels
  •  Position Control Risks’ crisis management and security practise as the leading risk management consultancy and services provider in the region.
  •  Work collaboratively with country management, marketing teams and other practises to develop a consistent, credible and highly visible brand.
  •  Leading, motivating and developing high performing consultants.
  •  Seek innovative ways to improve services we offer to clients.
  • Knowledge and experience
  • Essential
  •  15+ years’ experience in security management, security response and security services, including experience at a senior level working in consulting / developing a service practise
  •  Client engagement, business development, sales and marketing experience, with a consistent demonstrated track record of improving client relationships
  •  Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with a broad range of other subject matter and country specific experts; working as part of a team to scope, pitch and resolve complex client issues
  •  A network of clients across Australia and New Zealand, and a network across Asia Pacific
  •  Demonstrated experience incorporating new technology into consulting solutions; being innovative to resolve client’s issues; productizing key offerings
  • Preferred
  •  Professional certification and/or accreditation in security management.
  •  Experience in crisis management, risk management and business continuity would be an additional advantage.

  •  Educated Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  •  Good client (internal and external) management and consulting skills

  •  Assertiveness and drive with strong influencing skills
  •  Strong interpersonal skills-building trust and rapport
  •  Excellent communication skills – written and oral (informal and presentation)
  •  IT literacy – MS office packages, advanced Excel
