Grape Co Farms Pty Ltd is a vertically integrated horticultural business with a strong reputation for premium table grape production and export. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Primary Products Inspector to join our operations, supporting both vineyard and warehouse functions.

This is a full-time role offering a salary from $76,515 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect, grade and classify grapes during post-harvest stages to ensure compliance with quality and export standards.
• Examine grapes for maturity, defects, pests, and diseases, ensuring only compliant product enters the packing process.
• Monitor grape handling and packing procedures to uphold hygiene, food safety, and market-specific compliance requirements (e.g. HACCP, Freshcare).
• Conduct quality sampling and audit documentation during processing and storage.
• Liaise with vineyard staff to assess pre-harvest fruit quality and recommend optimal harvest timing.
• Operate and supervise machinery including forklifts, tractors, and sprayers in both warehouse and vineyard settings.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare reports for traceability and export certification.
• Train and supervise seasonal workers in safe handling, hygiene, and packing procedures.
• Ensure cold chain storage and transport standards are maintained.
• Coordinate with logistics and export teams to manage container loading, labelling, and documentation.
Requirements:
• At least 3 years work experience
• Previous experience in horticultural quality control or product inspection, ideally in table grapes or fresh produce.
• Strong knowledge of quality and export standards relevant to grape production.
• Forklift licence and machinery operation experience desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail, record-keeping, and team supervision skills.
• Able to work extended hours during peak harvest periods.
