Position Summary: As a Portfolio Account Manager, you will provide account-level leadership that aligns Itron capabilities and offerings with the customers strategic initiatives and focus on the sale and subsequent revenue for assigned customers while ensuring and improving customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute sale strategies tailored to assigned accounts with a specific focus on Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) solutions, including Smart Meters. Identify and engage with buying influences to present and promote Itron’s AMI solutions and with users and key stakeholders of Itron solutions to action improvements in customer satisfaction. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes and competitive offerings. Contribute to defining how Itron solutions are differentiated and provide the best solution for customer above alternatives. Manage the sales pipeline through life cycle and contribute with a deal team on winning proposals to close new opportunities across assigned accounts Responsible for revenue and bookings quota. Provide internal early awareness and support trouble shooting for product, system and project issues Success Metrics Revenue and Bookings performance Customer satisfaction (CSAT) Demand plan and forecast for assigned accounts. What We’re Looking For Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar and/or relevant industry experience. 3-5 years’ experience in sale of AMI solutions and Smart Meters. Strong knowledge of Smart Meter technologies with ability to understand and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Proven success in a matrixed organization where solutions come from multiple sources Experience supporting complex commercial deals with legal and finance Preferred Skills & Experience: Selling experience with electric utilities in Australia. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards in Australia. Key Attributes: Comfortable working across the customer enterprise Comfortable developing relationships at multiple levels Ability to develop a sales strategy delivering outcome-based solutions as opposed to hardware only.
