About the Employer
Global Fruit Protection is a specialist plastics recycling facility located in Mareeba, Far North Queensland. We are the only plant of our kind operating north of Brisbane, focused on converting agricultural waste plastics into high-quality recycled pellets for reuse across farming and manufacturing sectors.

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled machine operator to run and maintain plastics compounding and reclamation machinery. This includes feeding raw and recycled materials, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring safe, efficient operation.

Duties and Responsibilities
Operate extrusion, pelletising, and compounding equipment.

Load and monitor materials and processing conditions.

Identify and address equipment issues and maintain safe working conditions.

Perform quality checks on processed materials.

Follow WHS procedures and complete routine maintenance tasks.

Skills and Experience
Prior experience with plastics processing or similar machinery required.

Strong understanding of materials such as LLDPE, HDPE, and PP.

Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and within a small team.

Forklift licence desirable but not essential.

What We Offer
Competitive salary between $65,000 and $75,000 p.a. based on experience.
